It’s Monday. What Are You Reading? (10/8/2012)

I totally cheated this week. I didn’t finish anything that I was reading on Monday of last week but that was because when I got to the library on Thursday this was waiting for me.

Let's Pretend This Never Happened: (A Mostly True Memoir)

It was a 7 day loan but I had it done by Sunday morning and that was while I was still fighting with Blackboard 8 hours a day to get my classes up and running by this morning. This, my friends, is funny damn stuff. If you do not follow The Bloggess you are missing out on some of the best humor out there and this book explains a lot. And she loves Neil Gaiman and Amanda Fucking Palmer and AND has a Haunted Dollhouse. And I might love Jenny Lawson a tiny bit today.

Currently:

XVI Wildwood: The Wildwood Chronicles, Book I (Wildwood Chronicles (Quality))This Dark Endeavor: The Apprenticeship of Victor Frankenstein (The Dark Endeavor Chronicles Series)

In the Queue:

Changeling (Order of Darkness) Fire and Hemlock The Replacement

    1. I can’t wait to get back to Dark Endeavor. And The Changeling is by one of my Favorites.

      Thanks for coming by.

  1. Ok, I totally have to read that. I’ve only recently started reading her tweets and I’ve heard good things about this book. It is firmly on my mental tbr pile 🙂

Happy Monday, have a great week of reading!

    1. You too.

And you do have to read it. It is a bit Schadenfreude humor but I really needed to laugh after the work weeks I have had.

  2. I love The Bloggess but I haven’t gotten a chance to read her book yet. The wait list at the library is a mile long.

I’ll be curious to hear what you think of Wildwood. The cover looks beautiful but I haven’t seen it on many blogs.

    1. That was why it was a 7 day. the list is forever long. I can’t even remember when I put it on hold.

So far I really like Wildwood. It is very fairytale like and the language is wonderful but I expected that from the author. He is the lead singer for The Decemberists.
