toptentuesday2

Today’s list is 10 of the many books at are debuting in 2013 that have me excited to be reading. It is kind of like my Waiting on Wednesday list for the next ten weeks or the last ten week depending in what makes the cut. When you are done here hop over to see the top ten 2013 debuts jamie’s dying to read! and then read some of the 100s of list people link up.

5 already on my TBR list:

City of a Thousand Dolls

City of a Thousand Dolls
This one look fabulous. “… orphan girls apprentice as musicians, healers, courtesans, and, if the rumors are true, assassins …” I am in.
Ink (The Paper Gods)

Ink (The Paper Gods, #1)

I have never really been interested in the Japanese pantheon, but this idea “But when she sees the things he draws start moving, there’s no denying the truth: Tomo has a connection to the ancient gods of Japan, and being near Katie is causing his abilities to spiral out of control” has me intrigued.

  Some Quiet Place

Some Quiet PlaceThis didn’t get my interest until I pieced together that my “seeing” emotions, I think the author means that the main character sees physical embodiments of emotions. Now that gets my attention.
Splintered
Splintered

This has been on my GoodReads list since September 2012. NOW! She says as she stomps her foot.

Between the Devil and the Deep Blue Sea

Between the Devil and the Deep Blue Sea (Between, #1)
This one has also been on my TBR list for a long time. It like Graveminder proves that a great tagline will get me every time. “You stop fearing the devil when you’re holding his hand…”

5 I just discovered:

The End Games

The End Games
Set in West Virginia, with dystopian themes and siblings? Sounds like a must read to me.

The Summer I Became a Nerd

The Summer I Became a Nerd
Because being a nerd is a good thing in our house.

The Nightmare Affair

The Nightmare Affair
I like school stories and I like awesome covers. So this caught my eye.

If You Find Me

If You Find Me
I accidentally clicked on this one and something made me stop and read the summary. It sounds intriguing.

Solstice

Solstice

This one is another I just happened upon. Another tagline gotcha: “Where Mythology and Dystopia meet…”
