Top Ten Tuesday: Waiting is Painful

Top Ten Tuesday
Each week The Broke and the Bookish posts a new Top Ten list that one of their bloggers answers. Everyone is welcome to join.

Top Ten this week is “Series I’d Like To Start But Haven’t Yet.” I cringed a little at this mostly because so many things are series now that I have to think about the ones I have yet to finish before I even begin to think about the ones I want to start. But there are some. After you read mine head over and check out the top ten series bridget would like to start but hasn’t yet.

The Secret History of the Pink Carnation

The Pink Carnation Series by Lauren Willig
Historically accurate romance novels? OK anything is possible.

Guilty Pleasures (Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter)

Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter Series by Laurell K. Hamilton
I have promised a dear friend that if she reads Alice, I will read Anita.

The Strain: Book One of The Strain Trilogy
The Strain Trilogy by Guillermo del Toro and Chuck Hogan
Considering how much I fangirl del Toro, I am surprised at myself that I have not read this yet.

The Grimm Legacy
The Grimm Legacy Series by Polly Shulman
Let’s see, is Grimm in the title?

Fever Crumb
Fever Crumb Series by Philip Reeve
I really love Steampunk and I got this for The Girl for Christmas. She better finish it soon or I am going to borrow it with out asking.

Parable of the Sower
Earthseed Series by Octavia E. Butler
I have been meaning to read something by her forever and this has always intrigued me.

A Tale Dark and Grimm
A Tale Dark & Grimm Series by Adam Gidwitz
Going to try and read this with the Wee One (9) and see if I can spark some Fairy Tale love.

The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo
Millennium Triology by Stieg Larsson
I am way behind on this but I have been warned of major violence and possible triggering scenes so I am leery about approaching it.

A Game of Thrones (A Song of Ice and Fire, Book 1)
A Song of Ice and Fire Series by George R.R. Martin
Big Books, no end in sight, people have both told me to read them and not to read them. I am conflicted.

Johannes Cabal the Necromancer
Johannes Cabal Series by Jonathan L. Howard
Deals with the devil, vampires, traveling carnivals, grave robbing; what’s not to like?

  1. A Song of Ice and Fire is the only series on your list that I’m familiar with, but I love it! I’m on book 4 and I’ve had to take a break–they’re mega long books! Hope you get around to reading these soon.

    Check out my TTT.

  2. My friend just lent me a copy of The Grimm Legacy! I haven’t even heard of it, but you know I’m all over that!! How can anyone pass up anything Grimm?!?
