Every Summer Has a Story: Top Ten Tuesday

Top Ten Tuesday
Each week The Broke and the Bookish will post a new Top Ten list that one (or more) of their bloggers will answer. Everyone is welcome to join.

Sadly, I did not read a lot of my Spring list but hopefully my summer list will go better. I have pick a number of books which will hit on challenges which I am lagging behind in or have not even begun for my Top Ten Books At The Top Of My Summer TBR List.

The Ocean at the End of the Lane: A Novel

Ocean at the End of the Lane by Neil Gaiman
So this will fill my New Adult or Published in 2013 for the Eclectic Reader Challenge 2013. Oh and I might have mentioned mine will be signed! I think you will be tired of my squeeing over this by July 11, but I just can’t help it.

Scarlet (Lunar Chronicles, Book 2)

Scarlet (Lunar Chronicles, #2) by Marissa Meyer
This will count for a number of challenges including 2013 Fairy Tales Retold Reading Challenge, Get Steampunk’d 2013, 2013 Sequel challenge and Dystopia 2013. Wow I need to find more like this to kick out these challenges.

 Ask the Passengers

Ask the Passengers by by A.S. King
In addition to counting for 2013 EBook Challenge, LBGT portion of Eclectic Reader Challenge 2013 and Standalone Reading Challenge 2013, The Girl read this and has told me it is a favorite. So much so that she wants to own a physical copy of it.

The Map of Time: A Novel

The Map of Time (Trilogía Victoriana, #1) by Félix J. Palma, Nick Caistor
Historical mystery portion of Eclectic Reader Challenge 2013 and Get Steampunk’d 2013

Blood & Beauty: The Borgias; A Novel

Blood & Beauty: The Borgias by Sarah Dunant
I won this form GoodReads quite a while ago. And now I will be taking it to the pool.

 Safe Haven

Safe Haven by Nicholas Sparks
Romantic suspense portion of Eclectic Reader Challenge 2013, which apparently I am going to finish this summer. But I am not sold on this read so if you have a better suggestion for romantic suspense let me have it

Mermaid: A Twist on the Classic Tale

Mermaid: A Twist on the Classic Tale by Carolyn Turgeon
The mermaid portion of the 2013 Paranormal Reading Challenge

 Going Vintage

Going Vintage by Lindsey Leavitt
The Standalone Reading Challenge 2013

Equal Rites: A Novel of Discworld (Discworld Novels) Wyrd Sisters: A Novel of Discworld Witches Abroad
Lords and Ladies  Maskerade  Carpe Jugulum

The Witches Novels of Discworld by Terry Pratchett
This can fulfill all of my 2013 Witches & Witchcraft Reading Challenge but really I just want to get my Pratchett on.

The Eyre Affair: A Thursday Next Novel

The Eyre Affair (Thursday Next #1) by Jasper Fforde
Another that might be a way to up a challenge count but really is just one that has been on my to read list forever.

    1. TOATEOFL is going to be my next Book Club pick and GV has been on my TBR list for months, so I am hoping to get through at least those. But I am horrible at sticking to a plan. 🙂

  1. Great list and so many are books I want to read too!! Definitely recommend The Eyre Affair … witty, well-written, and just plain fun!!
