A new semi-weekly meme asking for your thoughts. One of the reasons I started to blog was to start book discussions. That has fallen away. So here is my push to bring it back. Grab a cuppa. Read my ramble. Let me know what you are thinking this week. Not a review. Not a list. Not even necessarily a well thought-out essay on the merits of literature. Just our Thoughts on a Thursday.

  1. When I am browsing at my local bookstore an attractive book cover will get me to pick up the book and read the blurb. The cover graphics will not induce me to buy it. It is the blurb that convinces me to buy, or not buy, a book. Many times I have been disappointed when the blurb is not as fascinating as the book cover. Sometimes I will go back and look at a book 2 or 3 times before leaving the store without it.

  2. But it is the cover that gets your attention. And so many independent publishers don’t realize that. I agree that the blurb sells it but the cover art gets you to even consider it.

Thanks for stopping by. Always love comments!
